World class theatre tickets go on sale in GloucesterPosted on 03rd February 2016
Tickets for Strike a Light Festival in Gloucester are now on sale for its second year in the city.
World class theatre and dance companies will be working alongside local talent for a week’s worth of critically acclaimed performances.
The non-venue-based festival gives the local people of Gloucester a chance to come together and share memories, conversations and be inspired by the talent around them.
This year, acclaimed French actress turned animal communicator Gloria Delaneuf will share her life-changing experiences of visiting the gorillas of the Kungalunga Jungle. Jess Thorne, who has Tourette’s, will also give her unique perspective on life in the show Backstage in Biscuit Land.
Speaking to the Gloucester Citizen, Producer Sarah Blowers explained: “We want to encourage artists to live and make work in Gloucester and give them a national platform from which to work.”
The festival is running from 20-28 April with many locals and visitors planning to stay in holiday cottages in the Forest of Dean attending the event.
