Walking at the Wye Valley River Festival

Posted on 09th April 2014

Make sure to get your walking boots at the ready for the upcoming Wye Valley River festival, which is happening later this month.

A programme of beautiful scenic walks has been put together to celebrate the inaugural festival celebration. The festival is set to take place across April 30th– May 14th so make sure to take a look at the fantastic choice of large holiday cottages in the Forest of Dean for the perfect accommodation for this festival.

There are four guided walks across the festival led by Forest of Dean tour guides and Forestry Commission Rangers. The walks explore the quays and docks at Wilton and Ross, the pretty village of Symonds Yat, and many beautiful woodland, hillsides, and riverside locations along the River Wye and in the Forest of Dean.

If you’re feeling brave you can also take on the 12 mile and aptly named ‘Festival Heights’ walk!
