Visitors enjoy snowfall in the Forest of DeanPosted on 30th December 2014
High grounds in the Forest of Dean and other parts of Gloucestershire have seen a covering of snow.
People that are on New Year Forest of Dean cottage holidays are set to be welcomed by snow after higher areas in the region were recently covered in snowfall.
Although the snowfall is nowhere near as bad as what has been experienced across the channel in the Alps at France’s ski resorts, the likes of Cinderford, Forest Green and parts of Stroud were all hit by snowfall, providing the perfect conditions for sledging and snowball fights.
Travelling to the county has not been affected as snowfall has melted on roads, but the Met Office has revealed that more snow will fall in Gloucestershire in the coming days.
