Forest of Dean visitor guide releasedPosted on 30th January 2013
Thousands of visitors heading for a break in one of the wonderful holiday cottages in the Forest of Dean over the course of 2013 will undoubtedly be getting their hands on a new visitor guide to this stunning part of the UK, which has been released by the Forest of Dean District Council.
Around 40,000 copies of the annual guide have been put together and will be distributed nationally to a series of hotels, tourist information centres, libraries, airports and GOoutdoors retail outlets, whilst it is also available to request or download via the official tourism website: www.visitforestofdean.co.uk.
The guide is brimming with stunning pictures of wildlife and the historic landscape of the Forest of Dean, with the intention of bringing new visitors to the region whilst also attracting back loyal British holidaymakers that regularly flock to the region every summer.
A detachable map is also included in the guide, along with the unique Forest Bingo game to keep the younger ones in the family entertained.
Described as ‘fundamental to a destination marketing campaign’ and looking ‘better than ever’ – by leader of the Forest of Dean District Council, Cllr Patrick Molyneux, the visitor guide plays an integral part in promoting tourism throughout the region, which is a very important part of the local economy.
Should you be planning some Forest of Dean cottage holidays this summer, be sure to pick up a guide and see what is on offer for you and your family. Whether it is the array of local family attractions, selection of beautiful countryside walks or stunning coastal vistas, the Forest of Dean is one of the most beautiful parts of the UK.
