Victorian Christmas Market comes to GloucesterPosted on 23rd November 2014
The annual Victorian Christmas Market returned to Gloucester Quays on Thursday for four days of festive celebrations with a Charles Dickens theme.
The outdoor space has been transformed into a traditional yuletide market, which features more than 200 stalls selling seasonal fayre such as warming food, handmade crafts, and unique gifts. There will also be a host of jolly entertainment and live music, which includes local choirs and a regional brass band.
Those visiting Gloucester during Forest of Dean holidays with the family, will find plenty to do at the festive market, with a traditional carousel for children and Dickensian street performers to entertain adults and youngsters alike. There will also be an open air cinema screening of The Snowman, which is sure to encourage people to get in the festive spirit.
Last year the event attracted more than 150,000 people, and this year promises to be even bigger and better than before.
