The Wyedean Rally will return to the Forest of Dean next yearPosted on 30th December 2015
The popular Wyedean Rally will once again be visiting the Forest of Dean in 2016, although next year’s event will see it being held in November for the first time since the 1970s.
The news means those on winter Forest of Dean cottage holidays will be able to see this iconic race along with the thousands of other spectators expected to turn up.
Back in July, it was feared the race would not go ahead in 2016 after the British Trial & Rally Drivers Association announced that they would no longer be involved with the rally, but those fears have now been put to rest.
A spokesman for the Forest of Dean Motor Club told the Gloucester Citizen, “Our committee is pleased to announce that the Wyedean Rally Forest Rally will take place on November 12 2016.”
“We will be hosting a round of the Pirelli MSA National Welsh Forest Rally Championship, Jelf Welsh Clubman’s Forest Rally Championship, Brian James Motorsport Welsh Historic Rally Championship, the Gwynne Speed Rally Challenge and a round of the ANWCC Forest Rally.”
