Special rugby display exhibited at Dean Heritage CentrePosted on 16th October 2015
Just as the Rugby World Cup begins to climax, visitors to the Forest of Dean can celebrate England hosting the competition by visiting a special exhibition all about the history of the sport.
If you are staying in Forest of Dean holiday cottages this year then you should visit the Dean Heritage Centre as it is playing host to a special Rugby exhibition. The display will be on show until 13th December and visitors to the centre can learn all about the local teams and the rich history of the sport in the area.
According to a piece on So Glos, the exhibition details all the successes of the Rugby teams from the local area. Much of the display’s memorabilia has been loaned to the Dean Heritage Centre by members of the public.
Despite England’s early exit at this world cup, the fact that the 2015 Rugby World Cup is being hosted in the country still means it has been one of the most exciting years for the sport.
Nearby, Gloucester has also played host to some world cup games, such as Tonga vs. Georgia, Scotland vs. Japan, Argentina vs. Georgia and USA vs. Japan.
