Poldark being filmed in GloucestershirePosted on 13th November 2015
The second series of the BBC’s Poldark is being filmed in Gloucestershire and last week film crews descended on Chavenage House, near Tetbury, to shoot a number of scenes.
Poldark fans that are going on Forest of Dean cottage holidays before Christmas might be able to see TV heart-throb Aidan Turner and the rest of the cast as the new series of Poldark continues to be filmed in Gloucestershire.
Caroline Lowsley-Williams, who owns Chavenage House, told the Gloucester Citizen, “They’re based in Bristol (the Poldark production team) and they’re coming back again and they say they like Gloucestershire for filming.”
“They did most of the shooting in Cornwall when the weather was good and now they’re here.”
Chavenage House is around an hour away from the Forest of Dean. After being featured in the first series of Poldark the house attracted just under seven million visitors. Caroline Lowsley-Williams is hoping this trend continues next year after the second series airs on national television.
The Poldark film crew are expected to return to Gloucestershire to resume filming before and after Christmas.
