New Michelin star for Wye Valley restaurantPosted on 27th September 2014
Published yesterday, the prestigious Michelin Guide 2015 has announced a handful of new one-star restaurants, including one in the Wye Valley.
The Crown at Whitebrook’s owner and head chef Chris Harrod was delighted to be awarded the highly acclaimed Michelin star, joining just five other Welsh restaurants with the same accolade.
Receiving a Michelin is a huge achievement in itself, but the award given to the Crown at Whitebrook is even more outstanding due to the fact that the restaurant has been open just 11 months.
Chris Harrod was trained by Raymond Blanc OBE, and purchased the restaurant following its closure in March 2013 after the previous owners went into administration. The Crown at Whitebrook is now a restaurant which prides itself in serving quality local produce from both the Wye Valley and surrounding area, and is the perfect foodie treat for those enjoying a holiday in the New Forest.
