Mini heat-wave heads to the Forest of Dean

Posted on 16th May 2014

Weather forecasters have revealed that a mini heat wave is heading to the Forest of Dean and Gloucestershire this weekend.

People that have booked to stay in one of the beautiful holiday cottages in the Forest of Dean this weekend and next week will be delighted by the news that there will be lots of sunshine across the region as a heat wave is about to arrive.

Weather experts revealed that temperatures could hit highs of 24°C at the weekend and 27°C in the middle of next week.

These high temperatures will be hotter than the likes of Majorca, Ibiza and Tenerife. This, according to some tourism bosses, could also mean that a huge number of people will visit the Forest of Dean region as they look to make the most of the good weather and participate in outdoor activities.

Visit the Met Office website to take a look at the upcoming weather reports.
