Opposite and across from Holt Farm Stable, The Wain House has been expertly converted from the old cart shed. It has all its accommodation at ground floor level (National Accessibility Scheme Mobility Level 1) and offers level access for disabled visitors from the parking area immediately behind the cottage. Inside it has attractive, spacious double height rooms with exposed timberwork, oak planked doors, stone flagged floors and is furnished and equipped to the same very high standards as Holt Farm House and Stable. Like them it has been graded 4 stars by Visit Britain.
Level access into large sitting room. Archway to oak fitted kitchen with dining table. 2 bedrooms - 1 double and 1 twin with door out onto a private deck. Shower room/w.c (wheelchair accessible).
As well as having access to the communal courtyard shared with the other cottages, The Wain House has its own attractively landscaped garden area at the rear, comprising a paved area with barbecue, raised flower beds, a small deck and a pathway leading to a large lawned area sloping up to a field at the top from where there are far reaching views across the surrounding countryside. | |

Four beautifully converted properties within walking distance
of Offa's Dyke.......
Holt Farm lies in attractive, rolling hill country on the borders
of Herefordshire and Monmouthshire, at the end of a long private
track. It is a wonderful, peaceful location and has immediate access
to superb walks and rides. The organically run farm is at 900 feet
and a footpath rises behind to a hill with direct access to Offa's
Dyke and the Black Mountains, affording extensive views. There
are many attractions within easy driving distance: Hay on Wye (7
miles) - world famous for its bookshops and with a wide range of
activites to suit all tastes: historic castles such as Longtown and
Llanthony; the lovely cathedral city of Hereford (15 miles) and of
course the River Wye itself. The Forest of Dean and Symonds Yat are
approx. half an hour's drive and golf, riding, fishing, canoeing,
go-carting and other outdoor pursuits - even gliding! - are
available locally. Overall the area offers unrivalled opportunities
for the perfect country holiday.
