Forest of Dean rally gets the green lightPosted on 14th February 2014
Despite the recent bad weather the annual Wyedean Rally will go ahead as planned this weekend, quashing rumours circulating that the popular race would be cancelled.
The annual Wyedean Rally takes place from Friday 14th February from 3pm-8pm to Saturday 15th February from 7.30am.
This race is the 39th edition of the gravel stages rally and a large number of spectators are expected to come and watch, with many staying in nearby cheap holiday homes in the Forest of Dean.
A statement from the organisers of the event said, “Those who have followed our events over the last few years will know that no matter how wet, or how much frost and snow we do not cancel our events.”
The race is expected to be one of the biggest in its history with a long-list of competitors ready to take on the challenging conditions. Enthusiasts are expected to turn out in force, especially for Saturday’s racing.
