Forest of Dean could welcome new Star Wars filmPosted on 15th June 2014
Anticipation is building as it is believed the new Star Wars movie could be filmed in a number of locations around the Forest of Dean.
The region, which is more renowned for its quality holiday cottages in the Forest of Dean, could well welcome a host of top actors and actresses to the area if murmurings that the movie will partly be filmed in the Forest of Dean turn out to be true.
If rumours are to be believed, Hollywood are looking at Staverton and Belas Knapp as potential film locations in the area.
The manager for Puzzlewood in the Forest of Dean, Helen O’Kane, revealed, “They haven’t approached us yet, but we would love to welcome them here, especially Ewan McGregor.”
Filming for the previous six films in the Star Wars franchise have all taken place in the UK and although no official statement has been made, a number of fan websites have all said that the Forest of Dean is a possible filming location.
