Forest of Dean brewer wins top awardPosted on 09th June 2014
The Bespoke Brewery Company in the Forest of Dean has received a handful of awards for its produce in just one week, fantastic news for the company.
The first four awards were received at Ludlow Castle by the Society of Independent Brewers West and Wales, with Money for Old Rope taking gold in the bottled category while also winning the overall accolade as the Champion of Bottled Beers. Other winners included Kings Shilling and Over A Barrel, receiving the gold and silver medals in their respective categories.
It was Money for Old Rope who saw further medal-winning success, with the rich, dark stout being crowned Champion Beer at the Banbury Beer Festival. With the overall winner being judged by festival visitors, it is especially impressive that the beer saw off competition from 87 other rivals.
Mike Bayliss, owner of the Bespoke Brewery Company, proclaimed that the company is very proud of their produce and brewing team, also giving thanks to the many local pubs and drinkers who supported them.
If you are already looking forward to your country cottage holidays in the Forest of Dean this summer, be sure to stop in at a local pub and discover these award-winning beers for yourself.
