Gloucestershire is renowned for the relaxing holidays which can be enjoyed in its Forest of Dean holiday lets, the River Severn, and its stunning countryside, but now the area is also being talked about for one of its brass bands.
The Lydbrook Band, a championship brass band which is based in the Forest of Dean, is currently starring in the National Lottery Christmas advert for its Lotto game.
The band, who are National Lottery funded and are celebrating their 90th anniversary this year, are performing a version of Gilbert O’Sullivan’s “Ooh-Wakka-Do-Wakka-Day” in the Christmas advert.
A member of the Lydbrook Band, Robert Morgan, said, “The band thoroughly enjoyed the filming. It was great to become film stars for the day and to experience the Christmas atmosphere being created – thanks to The National Lottery. It was a great experience to take part in such a major event.”
The Christmas advert first hit television screens nationwide on December 14th and can be seen on YouTube by clicking here.
