Forest Activities Festival to be held in April 2016 in the Forest of DeanPosted on 15th January 2016
The Forest Activities Festival, held in the Forest of Dean, will be running for its third year on Sunday 24th April (subject to funding).
The festival has hosted a large array of the best outdoor activity providers in the Forest of Dean in its two previous years, giving families a chance to get up close and personal with owl handling, forest bush craft, archery and much more.
It also features local street food and drink stalls, live music and children’s entertainment to keep all the family happy!
The organisers hope that they can repeat the success of the past two years as visitor numbers reached between three and four thousand, with many staying in holiday cottages in the Forest of Dean prior to the summer holiday rush.
Previous funding has been provided by local and national partners such as the Lottery Fund, Forest of Dean & Wye Valley, and Gloucestershire County Council.
The festival is to be held at Speech House in Coleford, Gloucestershire between 10am and 5pm. Ticket prices are £3 for adults and £1 for children.
