Dean Heritage Centre welcomes Fire and Wood FestivalPosted on 12th April 2013
Anyone who has decided to book a stay at one of the cosy holiday cottages in the Forest of Dean this spring will no doubt be looking forward to immersing themselves in some of the beautiful area’s rich artistic and cultural traditions, and visitors will have a chance to do just this at the upcoming Fire and Wood Festival.
Set to be held at the popular Dean Heritage Centre from the 25th — 27th May, the sixth instalment of this fun family event will feature the usual wide range of activities, demonstrations and exhibitions which guests of all ages will be able to enjoy.
Organisers have promised that this year’s festival will be the biggest and best yet, with a wider variety of attractions than has ever been seen before, including chainsaw carvings, wood craft demonstrations and a traditional charcoal burn.
This event is always one which allows those who come along to really get involved with proceedings, offering plenty of hands-on activities, so why not make sure your next trip to this stunning part of the country coincides with the Fire and Wood Festival?
