Filming for new drama begins in the Forest of DeanPosted on 05th November 2015
The Living and the Dead, a new six-part drama that is set to air on the BBC, is being filmed in the Forest of Dean.
Those on short Forest of Dean cottage holidays will have recently seen film crews on Severnside, at the Lydney Park Estate, and in the woods behind Taurus Crafts filming a new star-studded supernatural drama.
The drama features Colin Morgan, who has starred in Merlin, Humans and The Fall, as well as Charlotte Spencer, who has previously featured in Glue and Line of Duty.
The new drama will tell the story of a young couple who are starting a new life on a farm during the Industrial Revolution, but their arrival releases a dangerous supernatural phenomena.
Speaking to the Gloucester Citizen, Tom Haverly of Taurus Crafts, said, “It was exciting to see them (the film crews) here. It will be good for Lydney because it brings more people here.”
