Festival to highlight the Forest of Dean

Posted on 17th June 2015

For the second year, revelers will take over Whitemead Forest Park in Gloucester for the “Festival in the Forest”. The event is being held on the weekend of 4-5 July and is expected to draw as many as 10,000 visitors to the locale.

The event is running from 11am-7pm on both days. Tickets are £6 per day for adults (16 and over).

In this mixture of garden party, music festival and fun fair, there will be arts and crafts, theatre productions, trail walks, classic cars, food and cooking demonstrations. Local artisans will attend to provide craft demonstrations as well. It is a perfect day’s adventure while you are staying in holiday cottage accommodation in the Forest of Dean.

The Festival in the Forest is family focused as kids’ admission to the event is free. To keep the little ones entertained, there will be “woodland folk” on hand in fancy dress, face painting, kids-themed games and attractions.
