Elton Farm carves huge new maze

Posted on 06th August 2014

Elton Farm in the Forest of Dean has once again been transformed into a series of gigantic mazes, offering fantastic fun for the whole family during their holidays in the region.

Located near Newnham-on-Severn, the farm has long been celebrated for its fantastic maze arrangements and this year’s offering looks sure not to disappoint. The theme for this year is all about flight, and the shapes for the three mazes include a bumblebee, a kingfisher and a kite.

Brian Griffin, who designs all of the mazes, said that the latest creation took five people three days to cut out. The crop was first planted back in April and since then it has grown considerably, now standing between eight and nine feet tall. For more information, click here to visit their website.

If you are looking forward to a stay in one of the Forest of Dean cottages, be sure to bring the family along and check out this wonderful maze for yourself.
