Earl of Wessex praises Forest of DeanPosted on 08th May 2014
We reported last month that Prince Edward, the Earl of Wessex, and his wife Sophie would be making a trip to the Forest of Dean in May, and during this trip Prince Edward revealed that the Forest of Dean is “a special place” to him.
The comments were made when Prince Edward and his wife, Sophie the Countess of Wessex, visited the Vantage Point Business Park in Mitcheldean.
Hundreds of people came out to see the Earl and Countess of Wessex during their short trip, including visitors on great Forest of Dean cottage holidays, local schoolchildren and local business owners.
Those that did come out were able to see the Earl of Wessex participate in his first driving lesson in a road sweeper, which was painted with the colours of the union flag.
Students from the Mitcheldean Primary School, who were all accompanied with small union jack flags, were also lucky enough to meet the Royal couple.
