Ceramics now on display at Forest of Dean arts centrePosted on 14th August 2013
While the Forest of Dean is renowned for its countless areas of outstanding natural beauty, it is also an area known for its strong relationship with the arts.
A fine example of this relationship is an art exhibition in the town of Lydney, showcasing a collection of ceramics crafted by artists from all over the ancient woodland. Complementing the existing collection of Martin Stephen, the exhibition will feature pieces from potters Gayle Ansell, Avril Farley and Nigel Lambert. Adventure photographer Jason Gotel will also feature, with his image collection called Wild Wales sure to be a big hit among visitors. As if this great selection of art isn’t enough, a temporary beach has also been set up to ensure everyone can make the most of the sunshine in perfect style.
The exhibition can be discovered at Taurus Crafts in Lydney and will keep its residency until 1 September. It could provide a great afternoon of family fun for those visiting the area on their Forest of Dean holidays in the coming weeks.
